CC Centro Plaza, in the exercise of its corporate social responsibility, became a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact in 2017, committing since then to integrate the principles proposed by the Global Compact into its strategy, culture, and action plan, to strengthen its commitment to balanced and sustainable economic development, and to communicate it to its various stakeholders.

This year, CC Centro Plaza has taken a step further and has joined as a member of the Spanish Network of the Global Compact. This membership simultaneously supports the actions promoted by the United Nations to achieve its goals and objectives, including the Sustainable Development Goals.

The United Nations Global Compact is the largest international corporate responsibility initiative. It brings together all organizations that voluntarily endorse its Ten Principles on Human Rights, Labor Standards, Environment, and Anti-Corruption.

The initiative has more than 16,000 signatory organizations internationally in over 161 countries. In Spain, it operates through the Spanish Network of the United Nations Global Compact, which currently has 1000 member entities. The Spanish Network is also the leading local network regarding the number of Progress Reports submitted.

Furthermore, since 2017, CC Centro Plaza has been a member of the Forum of Socially Responsible Companies of Málaga and, together with over fifty companies in the province, works to identify common challenges and joint projects of Corporate Social Responsibility that strengthen the commitment of socially responsible companies in the area of Málaga.
