All people from Marbella and also tourists visiting the city must see Marbella Easter, the annual Christian celebration of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth and one of the most genuine expressions of Christian Andalusian feel.
Easter is a very important sociocultural, tourism and economic phenomenon in Marbella and is deeply rooted among its inhabitants, which massively involved in it. The different groups take to the streets thrones with pictures or sculptures, sometimes of great historical-artistic, depicting scenes from the Passion, Death and Resurrection value.
